Welcome to Flagler County's First Elementary Charter School!
In
August 2004, the City of Bunnell opened up Cornerstone Elementary, a charter school
for students from Flagler County in kindergarten through fifth grade.
The school located on 303 Moody Blvd. is guided by strong academic
programs that are technology rich, educationally sound and individually guided.
Cornerstone Elementary is guided by extraordinary efforts from students,
parents, administrators and the community.

CONGRATULATIONS ON FCAT!
Dear Parents,
AOE is
excited about the majority of results of the FCAT testing. The
comparisons that demonstrate the amount of yearly gain are in and it clearly
shows our teachers' commitment to the students and the school as a whole.
In only its second year of existence, Cornerstone earned a "B." This
accomplishment cannot be understated! The young charter school exceeded the gains in some areas and helped identify areas we will be targeting. Here are just
a few highlights:
The
percent of fourth graders scoring three and above surpassed the district's
percent scoring three and above in math by 11 points!
Fourth
graders made larger learning gains than the district in both reading and
math.
Fifth
graders made larger learning gains than the district in both reading and
math.
Thank you, parents for
your commitment and dedication to your child's education!

An Academy
of Excellence
Academies
of Excellence, Inc, located in Daytona Beach, FL, evolved out of a 6.5 million
dollar Federal Technology Challenge Grant.
Strategies for effective teaching
and learning, based on research based best practices of instruction, serve as
the foundation for each school developed by the Academies. Through
innovative uses of teaching with technology, the Academies were formed to allow
parents additional choices for their children that aren't meeting success
currently or for students seeking an alternative learning environment.
